This table provides information on the travel behavior of the Dutch population (excluding residential care residents) on Dutch territory. Travel behavior is described as the number of trips , the distance traveled and the travel time per inhabitant of the Netherlands per day and per year. This concerns all trips within the Netherlands, except for professional trips (such as by a taxi driver or parcel deliverer) and except for days on domestic and foreign holidays. They are not included in this table. Travel behavior is broken down into travel motives, modes of transport and regions. Kilometers traveled abroad do not count. This means that cross-border movements have been cut off at the border and the kilometers traveled abroad have therefore been disregarded. Data available from 2010 to 2017. Status of the figures: The figures in this table are final. Change as of February 21, 2020: None, this table has been discontinued. When will new numbers come out? Not applicable anymore.
