JOP 2024 - Limitations of road-network works

Road-network work limitations To guarantee the preparation and holding of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in good conditions, for issues of public safety, quality of public spaces, traffic and travel, the City of Paris will be involved to limit road and network projects in Paris between March 15 and October 30, 2024. Phase 1: September 1, 2023 to March 15, 2024 Vigilance on the works (preservation of sensitive networks necessary for the progress of the JOP) network operators to submit systematic “technical instructions” (including for network renewal). Network operators may issue restrictive or protective notices for their works within the framework of these instructions. Phase 2: March 15, 2024 to June 15, 2024 Sanctuary of the surroundings of the sites (JOP, stations, sensitive sites, Olympic routes) No authorization to start new work in the yellow zones and withdrawal of existing rights-of-way effective by June 15, 2024. All construction sites must either be completed with a definitive restoration of the roads, or folded and made safe by June 15 taking into account the following details: Pedestrian diversions prohibited (any trenches will have been closed and serviced to restore the paths); Bicycle diversions prohibited; No construction site barriers must remain; No storage of materials or waste should remain; No camp must remain. Phase 3: June 15, 2024 to September 15, 2024 Reception of visitors to the Games No authorization to start new works throughout Paris and withdrawal of existing rights of way effective by July 15, 2024. All projects must either be completed with final restoration of the roads, be folded up and made safe by July 15, taking into account the following details: Pedestrian diversions prohibited (any trenches will have been closed and serviced to restore the paths); Bicycle diversions prohibited; No construction site barriers must remain; No storage of materials or waste should remain; The life bases must be removed, they can however be maintained exceptionally on areas reduced to a minimum and in this case they must be secure and maintained (cleanliness) daily). The requirements of phase 2 on the colored zones are maintained during this phase. Phase 4: September 16, 2024 to October 30, 2024 Objective: Facilitate dismantling and restoration operations at the Olympic sites No authorization to start new work Maintained provisions of previous phases (folded rights-of-way) Exceptions: site restoration work

The requirements of phase 2 are maintained during this phase on the perimeters of the Olympic sites being dismantled.
